Hey, just like a porn star’s penis, the brain needs a day off once in a while, too.
According to BroBible, “less than one-third of Americans are happy with their work, half of the workforce is ‘checked-out,’ and 70 percent of those currently employed are searching for other jobs.”
So it’s no wonder that those people whose brains aren’t totally fried are coming up with new, creative ways to spend a day at home watching soaps instead of coming to the office and sitting through nine hours of conference calls, brainstorming sessions and flirting with interns.
The latest idea? You guessed it: Flat out telling your CEO that you need a “mental health day.”
That’s exactly what Madalyn Parker at Olark recently emailed to her boss Ben Congleton, but instead of telling her to get bent, Congleton actually loved the idea and let her know that.

That seems like some pretty solid reasoning, but unfortunately for us here at Mandatory, Florida Man never takes a day off, so neither do we.
