Jaguar Follows Up World Car of the Year Award with New E-Pace

When the automaker behind the 2017 World Car of the Year announces a new model that promises to be the same as the big award winning model — just a wee bit smaller — the car world pays attention. The new Jaguar E-Pace compact crossover will soon join the successful F-Pace in Jaguar’s new small SUV group.

The F-Pace won awards around the world until it took home World Car of the Year at the 2017 New York International Auto Show this past April. The luxury crossover combines gorgeous styling with tight performance to romp to the most prestigious honor in the car business.

The new E-Pace will look to duplicate the look, feel and features of the F-Pace in a compact package when it arrives in 2018. In a compact crossover frame that flirts with large hatchback status (a common trend in modern cars), the E-Pace is a clear effort to bring more entry level buyers into the Jaguar family with an MSRP starting around $38,600.

The E-Pace will certainly no doubt be a more urban intended vehicle, offering an even more parking-friendly and traffic dodging option than the already perfect F-Pace. Once younger or aspirational drivers are in the “Pace” mindset, both the F-Pace and the all-electric, performance centric I-Pace await up the food chain.
