According To A Study Women Are Apparently Attracted To Guys Who Look Like Their Own Brothers

Well that’s pretty creepy.

Something tells me that Cersei and Jamie Lannister would be into this study (Boom, Game of Thrones reference).

According to a new, creepy study, women are apparently subconsciously attracted to dudes who look like their own brothers. The study, published in the scientific journal Evolution and Human Behavior, took female participants and showed them columns of pictures of a woman, her partner, her brother, and three other random men. Then were then asked to rank the faces on facial similarity without knowing if the people in the pictures were related or not.

The results? It seems there was “clear evidence for perceptual similarity in facial photographs of a woman’s partner and her brother.” Which pretty much means that the female participants had partners that looked like their own bros.

Here’s what lead researcher Tamsin Saxton had to say:

“[Our findings] were not a rule or true of every woman but we do find that, at levels greater than chance, partners did show some subtle resemblance to the women’s brothers.”

Now of course this isn’t accurate for every woman, because none of my sister’s boyfriends thankfully ever looked like me. So relax, ladies, chances are you’re not into dudes that look like your brother. Unless you are, then you have things to work out in your life.

In conclusion, when science isn’t trying to figure out how to save mother earth they are figuring out just how much you like your brother.
