It may be a bit on the nose, but we don’t mind: Diff Eyewear was founded to make a difference.
In 2014, three entrepreneurs with experience in the eyewear industry got together to found a company focused on affordable shades, that were well made and stylish, and while they were at it, contribute to society in a positive way. That is no small feat to take on, but the team at Diff was up for the challenge, and they have risen to the occasion.
One billion people in the world who need glasses who do not have them, and over 50% of that is due to lack of funding. Diff Eyewear is trying to change that. Diff Eyewear now offers a diverse line up of ten unique silhouettes in a barrage of colorways and materials. Partnering with Eyes on Africa—an organization that provides eyeglasses at no cost to local communities with no access to vision care—for each pair of Diff sunglasses that is purchased, the brand will donate a pair of optical glasses.

The do-good nature of the brand doesn’t stop there, and their goals of selling stylish specs and improving the world are making an impact. As sunglass savants, customers enjoy designer acetate frames with premium CR39 polymer lenses that feature glare-reducing polarization and UV/UVB protection.
With the expansive number of options, you may need a different pair for every day of the week. And for each pair sold, one is going to go to someone in need. There’s something pretty different (and awesome) about that.
