Painstakingly handcrafted in Portugal, Epaulet New York‘s Spring 2017 collection is focused on selectivity. The collection isn’t big, yet it has a compelling mix of two sneaker silhouettes and two boot silhouettes. Available in six rich colors, while this line may be limited, it actually makes for some very tough decisions in choosing which one, or two, to purchase.
The designs include a slip-on trainer, which could be a casual sneaker, but with luxe fabrication that allows it to double as work or dinner date appropriate footwear. If you dig the no-laces treatment, the Chelsea Boot is also a slip-on, but has a far more formal feel.
With the Side-Zip Combat Boot, the secret sauce is in the name – while these boots feature laces, they actually require far less effort by way of a inside zipper, for easy entry and exit. The most traditional style is likely the Tennis Trainer, which is probably similar to a few pairs you may already have at home, but without this quality and craftsmanship.
All of the styles are made with Vesuvio Suede, sourced from the esteemed Conceria Mastrotto Tannery in Veneto, Italy, known for it’s exceptional softness and easy maintenance. The styles are now available for pre-order.
