I’m going to go ahead and assume anyone who tries to be like Kim Kardashian will have things turn out negatively.
You all remember that woman who spend a quarter of a million dollars to look like Barbie? How about that dude who spent $26,000 on surgery to look like David Beckham and completely failed? Of course you do. So now, meet 27-year-old Claire Leeson from England.
Leeson actually spent close to $23,000 in order to look like Kim Kardashian after some of her friends told her she looked like the useless reality star. When doing her hair and makeup like Kim wasn’t enough, Leeson went ahead and got a boob job when she was just 18. And then the awfulness began.
Years later, Leeson is now claiming that her decision to look like Kim ‘ruined her life’ and, get this, follows her around like a herpes sore. Leeson says she now gets poked fun at on the internet. Hey, now she and Kim have that in common.
Take a look at what she told Daily Mail, “I’m sick and tired of being compared to Kim Kardashian, I am my own person. I always had a resemblance to Kim and I thought I could capitalize on that by copying her look, but it’s backfired and now I hate looking like her. It’s ruining my life, I’m just being ridiculed.”
There’s more:
“People don’t understand that it’s not a compliment for me to be compared to Kim, it really upsets me. I feel like a bit of an idiot and I regret saying I wanted to be like her. I am my own person and I wish I hadn’t have gone along with it at the time.”
Well, kudos to Claire for at least admitting she’s an idiot for wanting to look like a idiot that just happens to be rich and famous.
Leeson admits that she did this because of low-self confidence and insecurity.
“I just think if you go down that road you’ll end up miserable later in life because you’ve gone against your own self-worth. The best thing that has come out of this whole thing is that I’ve discovered who I really am.”
Well, here’s hoping she is now happy and can move forward being herself and only herself.
