Last month, the world lost a young man with talent, personality and a lot of style. Dylan Rieder passed away due to complications of leukemia, at the very young age of 28. According to postings from his teammates and family at Los Angeles streetwear brand Huf, he was surrounded by friends and family at the time of his untimely death.
We obviously will leave the formal tribute to those who knew him best, namely the skateboarding community full of people and publications who called him friend, teammate, and brother. Among them, this tribute from brand Fucking Awesome, as posted on Transworld; this one from Thrasher; and this from The Skateboard Mag.
While we thoroughly enjoyed the seemingly limitless talent of this incredible athlete, we also had a deep appreciation for his effortless style. In honor of that, we present you with the Dylan Slip On. Dylan had long been a successful and sponsored skateboarder, with a pro model back in the day with Gravis, which was later acquired by Burton. But in 2013, Dylan joined Huf in a partnership that would leverage his incredible talent, obvious good looks, and his ability to look cool at all times, even if he was wearing just a tee shirt and black jeans.
