I know everyone has wondered while watching The Walking Dead if they would be able to survive a similar situation. The short answer is “No,” because chances are you would be one of the first ones to go. I mean, hell, I would be. But now guess what? Now thanks to Career Builder we actually know which city would be the most and least likely cities to survive if zombies ever became a real issue.

Now while we’ve heard about the idiot “zombie hunter” who almost killed a man because he thought he was a zombie, and we’ve seen the video of two brothers who successfully convinced their little sister zombies were taking over the world, it is time to look at the numbers (sort of) and finally find out which city would actually survive a zombie apocalypse.

The study examined 53 of the largest metropolitan areas. And these 53 areas were judged by their defense against an a zombie-inflicted virus, the area’s ability to contain it and the area’s ability of finding a cure and food supply. And who would be the worst at that? You got it, New York City. We here in NYC would be completely and utterly screwed.

But who would stand the best chance against those walking dead? Believe it or not it would be Boson, Massachusetts. So all those wicked folks would probably still be alive, which makes me wonder if the next The Walking Dead spinoff will be in Boston. Perhaps.
