Here’s How People Are Being Welcomed To Brazil These Days: ‘Welcome To Hell’

With the Rio Olympics just a few weeks away there are still huge concerns about whether Brazil is actually ready to host the Olympics. And according to how folks are being welcomed once they land in Brazil they are not ready. Like, at all.

Once people land in Rio De Janeiro members of Brazil’s emergency response teams are welcoming them with this sign. Take a look at it below thanks to Michael Smith’s Twitter:

And if that doesn’t make you turn back around, maybe the sign outside the airport will. Here’s the sign thanks to Cecília Olliveira’s Twitter:

These signs and “greetings” are part of a protest started by members of Rio’s police force who have gathered to demonstrate against late payment of their wages.

Things aren’t going well in Rio, as a “state of financial calamity” was declared there recently. This crisis could lead to a whole lot of shit for Brazil, including the “total collapse in public security, health, education, transport and environmental management.”

So, if you attend the Olympics games and get out alive you deserve a gold medal.
