Glass Walkway 3,540 Feet Above Ground In China Cracked With People On It

They apparently don’t make glass walkways in China as well as they make my sneakers.

According to Mashable, as if taking a hike on a glass walkway more than 3,500 feet above ground wasn’t already terrifying enough, tourists really lost their shit Monday afternoon when a section of glass cracked beneath them.

Glass walkways are all the rage right now in China, but it seems as though people prefer the ones that don’t shatter beneath their feet. This “cracking” took place at the Yuntai Mountain walkway in China’s Henan province, and it caused a “mini stampede towards the end of the path.”

“My feet shook a little,” Lee Dong Hai said on the social media site Weibo. “I looked down and I saw that there was a crack in the floor. A lot of people started to scream. I screamed out, ‘It cracked! It really cracked!’ and then I pushed the people in front of me so that we could run out of the way.”

There was no video evidence of Hai pushing people out of the way so he could escape the crack, but odds are it looked something like this:
