A Chinese Woman Has Grown A Huge Horn In The Middle Of Her Head

Well here’s something you don’t see everyday. Or ever, really.

Liang Xiuzhen, an 87-year-old Chinese woman, is currently known as “Rhino Woman” because a horn has grown in the middle of her head. It started off as a black mole, and her son Wang Chaojun thought they had treated it with medicine, but just two years later the mole turned into a mass the size of a finger.

The mass continued to grow until the woman “broke” it by accident, only allowing her current horn to grow in its place, and it continued to grow and grow at a quicker pace. Her current horn sits at 5.1 inches long.

The doctors in Sichuan, China, have diagnosed the rhino type horn as “cornu cutaneum” – a keratinous skin tumour that has the appearance of a horn. Doctors believe they can remove the horn with surgery, but because of her old age, her family has other thoughts.

“My mother is old, and the horn is on her head which is a very sensitive area. I’m not confident [in the idea of] surgery. If something goes wrong, it would be terrible,” her son says.

The woman has a horn in her head. And she’s 87-years-old. And she has a damn horn, Wang. I feel like living without a horn would be better. But that’s just me.
