Um, gross.
According to the Daily Mail, Krystal Henderson and her stepson recently made what was supposed to be a jolly old trip to Kentucky Fried Chicken in Newcastle, England. But the dream of devouring a meal packed with deep-fried white meat and sodium quickly turned into a nightmare when 7-year-old Oliver bit into a deep-fried blue towel instead.
Henderson’s statement to the Daily Mail pretty much summed up just how horrific the ordeal really was:
He pulled it out of his mouth and when he did, it pulled away the batter. You could see the blue roll inside. Realizing it was blue roll was worse than chicken. If it was bad chicken, they might have just had a bad batch or something. But the blue roll could have been used for anything – it could have bleach or disinfectant on it. Had someone wiped their hands on it, had it been used to wipe the floor?
KFC officials apologized to Henderson last month and told her “the blue tissue had most likely originated from a tissue roll used for KFC hygiene purposes.”
Maybe it’s just us, but that really doesn’t make the situation any less disgusting.
