What you see above is photo snapped off a video screen amidst an insane crowd recording a little amateur magic from this weekend’s 2016 PGA Championship as a golf lover takes home a new Mercedes-Benz.
The German automaker was a major sponsor for the PGA Championship. Throughout the four days of the golf season’s final major, Mercedes-Benz had several of its new vehicles on display at the Mercedes-Benz Performance Center – a lovely air-conditioned and rain-proof tent along the 17th hole. Alongside those luxury riders, visitors could take their shot at the “Hole in One Challenge.”

The challenge was simple: Drop three putts of about 15 feet in a row and win a new 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. As you can tell from onlookers jumping up and down with their arms raised in a frenzy, the feat went down during the rain-soaked Saturday.
PGA fan James Gilmartin was the winner. Mercedes-Benz hasn’t released his age, profession or hometown, but they don’t have to, really. What they do need to do is get this putting machine his new C-Class.
