Developers at Voxx Electronics introduced the 360Fly Panoramic Video Camera at 2014 CES today. The 360Fly was developed in a partnership with EyeSee360 and delivers simultaneous 360° video recording that works with their software to allow viewers to pan and zoom the recorded clip.
So, if you attach one to your helmet while snowboarding, it won’t just capture what you see and where you are going, it will record video of everything happening around you, including your buddy’s wipe out behind you. The 360Fly is touted as the world’s smallest 360 degree lifestyle video camera, but is still considerably larger than a GoPro.
The 360Fly can fit in your pocket and be submerged in water up to 5 atmospheres. While designed to be mounted to helmets for those with active lifestyles, the 360Fly is equally adept at recording any moments in your life that you’d like to see more completely.
By using a tripod mount, you can place the camera in the middle of the table during a family dinner or birthday party for example, and capture the entire event as it actually happens. The 360Fly records 1500×1500 at 30fps and can connect back to your other devices via Wifi or Bluetooth.

Pricing and availability of the 360Fly has not yet been announced.
