Bbno$ Slams Elon Musk During Juno Awards Speech

Canadian rapper and singer Bbno$ (pronounced as baby no money) said Elon Musk was a “piece of garbage.” This happened during his acceptance speech at this year’s Juno Awards. Bbno$, whose legal name is Alexander Leon Gumuchian, was awarded the TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award. He made the aforementioned comment about Musk at the very end of his brief speech.

Here’s what Bbno$ said about Elon Musk

Bbno$ took the stage after being announced as the winner of this year’s TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award on Sunday, March 30, to give a short speech. He said, “That’s really dope. I honestly was expecting not to win. You know, there’s Tate McRae and Shawn Mendes. Also, fun fact: Shawn Mendes has really, really soft hands. This is really sick that I won a Juno at my hometown, so everybody thank you guys so much. I love you all very much.” He closed his speech with this statement: “Also, Elon Musk is a piece of garbage.”

This prompted the audience members at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, to erupt in cheers.

Speaking to the media backstage at the event, bbno$ explained the reasons behind his action. He said that he used that specific phrase to describe the Tesla CEO because he knew that if he used something worse, it would get bleeped in the broadcast. He also disclosed that he was taking part in a protest for gay rights on the very day that Musk made his controversial gesture at a rally commemorating U.S. President Donald Trump’s second inauguration.

Bbno$ also wondered, while speaking to the media, what could prompt a person to use such a gesture “in this day and age.” He added, “I’m sorry guys, it’s like, you don’t really do that, right?”

Bbno$ continued, “So, I just remember being like, ‘You know what, I’m spreading positivity while he’s spreading hate.’ So f— Elon Musk until I die.”

The comment from bbno$ was in line with how the rest of the night unfolded. A strong show of Canadian patriotism and defiance against Trump’s remarks about the country was a significant component of the event. Host Michael Bublé, for instance, declared that Canada was not for sale. This came after he claimed that they were “the greatest nation on Earth.”
