On March 9, Jeremy Renner posted a CapCut workout edit on Instagram, featuring clips that highlighted his shirtless torso. In the caption, the Avengers actor talked about finding inspiration everywhere and how “setbacks are temporary.”
In the comments section, Simpson posted a fire emoji. Although Renner did not reply to it, he liked the comment.
However, several fans responded to Simpson’s comment, with one fan noting how she and Renner have been liking each other’s recent posts.
Simpson later commented on another workout post from Renner, uploaded on March 24. In this post, the Mayor of Kingstown star could be seen working out with his mother. In the caption, he expressed pride in his mother for committing to the workout.
“I love this oh my…Mama is STRONG….I need to go do sit ups now,” Simpson commented. Renner liked this comment as well but did not respond to it.
Shortly before this, Renner had congratulated Simpson for the release of her latest album, Nashville Canyon Part 1. On the “Irresistible” singer’s Instagram post about the album’s launch, Renner commented, “Congrats Jess!!!”
