Daisy Edgar-Jones shared her thoughts on working with male co-stars, highlighting how they have been supportive of her leading roles.

In an interview with Elle, she expressed appreciation for actors like Glen Powell (Twisters), Sebastian Stan (Fresh), and Paul Mescal (Normal People), crediting them for prioritizing the story rather than their own screen presence.

Jones shared, “I have worked with basically all of the internet’s boyfriends. I think that’s why they’re so successful and so loved and so good: that they are so generous, and they really serve the story and are not serving themselves.” She highlighted Powell’s commitment to shaping her character’s arc and Stan’s investment in Noa’s journey.

Talking about working with Paul Mescal, Daisy Edgar-Jones said, “Paul’s like playing tennis with your best friend.” Jones admitted she feels apprehensive about working with someone who may not be as easygoing. She acknowledged that the industry is full of egos, which could make such situations challenging. Jokingly, she added that Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler as two actors she has yet to work with.

The actress also commented on the shift toward more women-led films, emphasizing her desire to play complex characters with depth. Jones said, “I want every character I play to be complicated and deep and have layers to them, because that’s what it is to be human.” Addressing the absence of a love story in Twisters, she explained that her character’s journey was about personal growth rather than romance.

Previously, Jones has also shared the screen with Harris Dickinson, Andrew Garfield, and Jacob Elordi.
