BLACKPINK‘s Lisa shed light on her meeting with Justin Bieber. In a recent interview, she reminisced about her brief encounter with the global pop star and revealed the one thing she wished she had done differently. Alongside this, she shared insights into her favorite songs, the track that first made her fall in love with music, and what she enjoys listening to on different occasions. Lisa has also been making waves outside the music industry, recently marking her acting debut in The White Lotus Season 3.
Here is what Lisa said about her meeting with Justin Bieber.
Lisa reveals one regret during her Justin Bieber meet
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Lisa revealed that she has always been a Justin Bieber fan. She recalled knowing every lyric to his hit song Baby, which featured Ludacris. “I think everyone was a Bieber fan when they were young,” she added.
The 27-year-old artist then recalled her first meeting with Justin Bieber, saying it happened “a few years ago” and she only said a “quick hi.” Lisa noted not telling the “Sorry” crooner about the depth of her admiration for him, because she was “too shy.”
However, she revealed the opposite situation happened when she met fellow singer and Grammy-winning icon Rihanna. Lisa recalled telling Rihanna how much she loved her. She also opined that Rihanna and Drake’s song “Work,” was the best song to play at a party, saying it “lifts everyone’s feelings up.”
She also spoke of other songs that played a significant role in her everyday life. Lisa mentioned that Britney Spears’ song “Baby One More Time,” was the first song she was enamored by. She added that she fell in love with Spears after watching the song’s music video.
Moreover, she also said that SZA’s “Snooze” was the song she would listen to while waking up and getting ready for the day. She also mentioned Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine,” as another song she listened to.
Furthermore, Lisa mentioned Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” as her favorite karaoke song. The White Lotus actress then said that she would cry to her own song, “Dream.”
Lisa also mentioned that she could no longer listen to BLACKPINK’s “Boombayah.” She cited the “really aggressive” nature of the dance movies as a reason. “There’s a lot of whipping your head, so it’s really intense to perform,” she added.
