Amy Schumer addressed her personal experience with various drugs in an Instagram video, sharing that she tried Wegovy three years ago, which did not work for her. Schumer explained, “I was like puking; I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever.” She also talked about her perimenopause symptoms, which led to her taking two prescribed hormonal drugs, estrogen and progesterone.

The Trainwreck star started using Mounjaro, a GLP-1 drug for type 2 diabetes. After being on various mixes of medications, the actress has seen a significant change in her skin and body. She revealed, “My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better.”

The Kinda Pregnant actress also shared a tad bit of her intimate life, sharing, “I have more energy. I want to ‘get down’ more, if you know what I mean,” adding, “I’m talking about sex.” She reiterated the effects of Mounjaro, gushing, “So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great.” Schumer also mentioned that Mounjaro might not come under one’s insurance, depending on if they have been diagnosed with diabetes or have severe “obesity.”

While speaking about her weight loss journey, Schumer highlighted Midi Health, a virtual clinic specializing in perimenopause and menopause symptom management. The comedian’s experience with the service proved so positive that it prompted a financial commitment. “I liked it so much, and it was such a good experience that I invested in the company,” Schumer revealed, underscoring her confidence in the platform.

Midi Health has got other celebrity investors. Former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, designer Tory Burch, Phenomenal Media founder and CEO Meena Harris, Permira senior advisor Carolyn Everson, soccer star Brandi Chastain, former VP of media partnerships at Meta Campbell Brown, and others have invested in the company (via Fortune).
