MO3 & Yella Beezy Beef Explained

In a shocking turn of events, authorities have officially arrested Yella Beezy for his alleged involvement in the 2020 killing of fellow musician MO3, or Melvin A. Noble, as is his original name. The “Restroom Occupied” singer is charged with capital murder for allegedly recruiting and paying Kewon Dontrell White to orchestrate the murder. Due to the recent developments in the case, users on the internet have raised their concerns regarding why Yella Beezy and MO3 were beefing in the first place.

So, here are all the available details about the controversial scuffle between the two Texan artists.

Here’s what happened to MO3 and Yella Beezy

At the time of writing, the precise reasoning behind why MO3 and Yella Beezy were beefing remains unknown.

Prior to MO3’s tragic passing in November 2020, the two were engaged in a publicized altercation for a prolonged period. They even exchanged heated words on social media and dissed one another on a number of tracks. While the basis of why MO3 and Yella Beezy were beefing is uncertain, many believe that it was because of their similar heritage.

As per The Dallas Morning News, both MO3 and Beezy hailed from Dallas and competed for recognition from the same crowd, which supposedly resulted in their rivalry. MO3 passed away after getting shot on Interstate 35 in Dallas.

The rapper was reportedly in his car when Kewon Dontrell White, the suspect, approached him. Seeing him, MO3 exited his vehicle and started to attempt his escape on the freeway. However, the suspect ultimately gunned him down before leaving the scene. Responders proceeded to take the injured musician to a nearby hospital, but he eventually succumbed to his wounds.

Despite their apparent beef, both MO3 and Yella Beezy have denied having any conflicts with each other in the past. The police initially arrested White and Devon Maurice Brown, another suspect tied to the case, shortly afterward. Now, they have charged Yella Beezy as well, over four years after MO3’s demise.

In 2022, Kewon Dontrell White was sentenced to nine years in prison for possession of a firearm. Moreover, Devon Maurice Brown was handed an 80-month sentence in 2021. Meanwhile, updates on the fate of Yella Beezy should follow in the coming days.
