Zendaya’s half-sister comments on Tom Holland and their relationship
In a recent interview, Latonja Coleman, Zendaya’s half-sister, mentioned that she met Tom Holland at a Thanksgiving celebration in 2018.
“He’s really, really cool,” Latonja told The U.S. Sun. “He’s down to earth and my family likes him.” The 51-year-old then called them an “odd couple,” saying Holland’s “so short” and Zendaya’s “so tall.”
Coleman then expressed her belief that Holland is “the one” for her sister.
Also in the interview, Latonja Coleman opened up about her estranged relationship with Zendaya, adding that she last saw the actress at her grandmother’s funeral, the previous month. Coleman also noted that she and Zendaya had not seen each other since 2018’s Thanksgiving, which took place at Zendaya’s house.
Coleman then stated that she felt like she was treated as “just a fan” when she tried to connect with Zendaya. “She just gave me a one-arm hug,” Coleman said.
Zendaya’s half-sister then stated how the Euphoria alum was heavily involved in her other sister and brother’s children’s lives, but that her grandchildren were unfamiliar with her. “They think she’s just from the Disney Channel,” she added.
Coleman then said she never told anyone of her relation to Zendaya, because of her negative feelings towards their father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, whom she holds responsible for her estranged dynamic with Zendaya. “I’m ashamed of my dad and how he raised us,” she expressed.
Here, she also spoke of how she tried to connect with the 28-year-old actress after being diagnosed with cancer. However, “family members slammed the door on [her].” Latonja Coleman also opened up about feeling like the “black sheep” of the family.
Zendaya’s half-sister then mentioned how she didn’t want her superstar sister’s money, but that she wanted to be in her life and demonstrate her love and support for her.
