Recent rumors have suggested that Jess Hilarious may be fired from The Breakfast Club after her recent criticism of her co-hosts and alleged feud with Loren LoRosa on social media. She was announced as the third host of the radio show in 2024, replacing long-time host Angela Yee. However, she took maternity leave last year, leaving LoRosa to fill in her hosting duties. She recently called out her colleagues for not defending her against online criticism.
Her recent online rant has many fans wondering if she has been fired from the show. Here’s what’s currently known.
Did Jess Hilarious get fired from The Breakfast Club?
Hilarious is reportedly not fired from The Breakfast Club.
The rumors about her being fired emerged when she criticized her radio show colleagues and addressed her alleged feud with LoRosa. During an Instagram live session, she called out her co-hosts for not supporting her when she faced online mockery during her maternity leave. Here, she was alluding to comedian Corey Holcomb, who made fun of her absence and commented on her replacement being more talented than her. He said, “They got somebody doing your segment better than you, and it’s flawless.”
Expressing her disappointment in her colleagues’ lack of support when needed, she said, “We supposed to be a team, but not one person comes to my defense at all, ever. With this online s—, I feel played with.”
Reflecting on her relationship with LoRosa, she mentioned that initially, she didn’t get along with her. But, she connected with her well and she publicly supported her. As a result, she let her begin her segment during her leave. She allegedly claimed that Charlamagne tried to portray a false narrative, wanting her to show dislike towards LoRosa. This officially puts to rest their beef rumors.
Even after Hilarious returned from her break, LoRosa’s extended tenure left her uncertain about her current role. She believed that the show made her feel like a “villain” for being worried about her future on the show.
In further response to Holcomb’s critique, she also gave the example of Angela Yee, who was a cast member for 13 years. She acknowledged her for enduring “high-school” drama throughout her term.
“There’s a reason that lady wanted to leave that show… I don’t know how she did that s— for 13 years,” she added. While her criticism garnered massive attention, leading to various rumors, it remains clear that Hilarious is not going anywhere yet.
