Taylor Swift Fans Are Happy About C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s Trade

The trade has made Swifties rejoice online. One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Taylor Swift somehow worked her magic to get CJ Gardner-Johnson traded out of Philly after that parade shirt.” Another fan quipped, “The Eagles probably traded CJ Gardner-Johnson partly because of the Taylor Swift thing. Let’s not lie here.”

The conflict between C.J. Gardner-Johnson and many Swifties became apparent at the Super Bowl parade on March 14. The 27-year-old football safety chose to enrage the singer’s fans by wearing a t-shirt with a crude message that directly insulted Swifties.

Gardner-Johnson’s appearance with the shirt came days after Swift faced some booing at the Super Bowl. On February 9, Taylor Swift was seen at the big game cheering for her beau Travis Kelce and could be seen laughing off the boos from some of those also in attendance.

Despite several speculations regarding Kelce’s potential retirement, reports have revealed that he will return to play for another season in 2025. The head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, has assured fans that he is “all in.”

Reid said of Kelce on the Bettor Angle podcast, “He’s a heck of a player, I mean listen, he’s getting older, but you’re talking about the guy that’s going to go down as maybe the best of all time at that position.”
