Bunk’d: Why Kevin Quinn’s Xander Had to Leave the Disney Show

Bunk’d recently concluded the run with the seventh season. The show, which follows the adventures of Ravi, Emma, and Zuri Ross at a summer camp, has captivated audiences since its debut. However, one lingering question remains—why did Kevin Quinn’s character, Xander, abruptly exit the series?

Here is everything you need to know about the actor’s departure from the popular sitcom series.

Why Kevin Quinn left Disney’s Bunk’d

Kevin Quinn’s Xander left Bunk’d due to personal reasons.

In his conversation with The Sit and Chat, the actor opened up on his exit from the sitcom. He revealed the reason behind his sudden departure after two seasons was the “instability” in his life. He shared that he was going through a difficult time. Quinn further recalled having a mental breakdown on a flight when he realized that he was supposed to receive a call to see if he could return to Bunk’d Season 3. However, he freaked out and cried in front of his parents, exclaiming, “Please don’t let me come back to that show.”

Quinn also mentioned how his exit had nothing to do with his time on Bunk’d. He stated, “It has nothing to do with ‘Bunk’d. I absolutely loved every minute. I was just in a place of instability. In a way, everything was as it should be.” Quinn further added, “Had I come back for Season 3, I would have done it and pulled up my boot straps and did the job. But I was secretly hoping I would be able to walk away.”

Quinn joined the show in the first season in 2015, playing the role of Xander, the lead counselor of Cabin Grizzly and resident musician. He was the friend of Lou and soon ended up becoming the love interest of Emma. Quinn entertained fans with his role for two seasons.

Following his exit from Bunk’d, Kevin Quinn appeared in Kingdom Hearts III, A Christmas Love Story, Champions, and many others.
