Travis Kelce’s Neighbour Issues Apology for Taylor Swift Relationship Timeline Comment

The relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has been a hot topic since the couple went public in 2023. But recently, Wes Bergmann, Kelce’s neighbor, stirred up controversy by claiming he knew about their romance before anyone else. Now, Bergmann has issued a public apology for his remarks.

Wes Bergmann apologizes for his comment on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Bergmann found himself in the spotlight after appearing on RHAP’s The Social Game podcast, where he discussed living next to the Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. During the episode, he hinted at having insider knowledge about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship, saying, “I was, like, the first person to know about any of this stuff.” He even claimed to have shared the news with podcast co-host Michele Fitzgerald, who reportedly didn’t believe him at the time.

However, Bergmann later clarified that his comments were misinterpreted. On March 4, Bergmann took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear up his statements. “Omg y’all I’m so sorry and confused,” he wrote. “Everything being reported on is none of my business. My contribution to this was taken out of context and said in what I thought was relative obscurity, but it obviously wasn’t,” he added.

He explained that Kelce moved into the neighborhood in November 2023, after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had already made their relationship public. “He moved in November, that’s all I know,” Wes Bergmann stated. “I told Michele, who is a giant fan, hey this is serious. She didn’t believe me for six months. That was the intention of the comment. Again it was taken out of context but I shouldn’t be talking about it anyway. So consider this the last time I do,” Bergmann added.

Notably, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship became widely known in September 2023 when the pop star reportedly attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game. Despite Bergmann’s claims, his timeline didn’t quite align, leading to confusion and backlash online.
