Will Novocaine Flop or Succeed? Box Office Predictions Explored

Fans are eager to learn the box office prediction for Novocaine ahead of its March 14 release and whether the Jack Quaid action-comedy-thriller will flop or succeed. This film follows Nathan Caine, a bank executive who cannot feel pain. After his love interest is taken captive during a bank robbery, Caine puts his inability to feel pain to great use in an attempt to save her from her captors.

Here is how much Novocaine is expected to make at the box office, and its box office prediction is explored.

How much could Novocaine make on its box office opening?

Novocaine is expected to make $12 to $18 million on opening weekend.

This figure comes from Box Office Pro. This puts it higher than A24’s Opus, starring Ayo Edebiri, also expected to release the same day. It is also slightly higher than Focus Features’ Black Bag, starring Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett, which will also drop on the same day.

The above figure is also higher than the domestic opening of Companion, which also starred Jack Quaid. Companion opened to $9.3 million.

Meanwhile, Box Office Theory records a 3-day low-end opening of $8 million and a high-end opening of $13 million. Also recorded is the low-end domestic total of $24 million and high-end total of $48 million.

Will Novocaine bomb or be a success?

It remains to be seen whether Novocaine will be a flop or a success.

As of writing, on the tracking website, The Quorom, Novocaine has an awareness percentage of 24%, interest of 34%, a 33% of people who would prefer to watch the film on the big screen and a 42% of people willing to spend money on seeing the movie in theaters.

Meanwhile, on YouTube, the first official trailer for the film garnered 54k likes and 9.5 million views. However, the big game spot trailer for the film, unfortunately, had a lower number of likes and views.

Dan Berk and Robert Olsen directed this film from a script written by Lars Jacobson. Besides Jack Quaid, the film’s cast includes Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Evan Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jessica Stanley.
