Apple just unveiled a new phone in their iPhone 16 lineup called the iPhone 16e and it will not only be the most affordable of the series but also has numerous features. These include powerful performance and battery life and Apple Intelligence, but it will be missing the notable feature, MagSafe. This new model will be available for pre-order starting Friday and will be released to the public on February 28.
Apple iPhone 16e misses MagSafe feature
It was recently revealed that the iPhone 16e will not support the MagSafe feature, which the other iPhone 16 models have.
This is confirmed by the official technical specs page, which does not list it. The exclusion of MagSafe from the model is surprising as it has become a vital feature for many iPhone users. Apple has not officially revealed why the MagSafe feature is not there for iPhone 16e.
Fans took to social media to express bafflement at this exclusion. “#iPhone 16e doesn’t have MagSafe WTH Apple?,” one fan posted.
“No way, the 16e doesn’t support MagSafe,” another fan wrote.
Despite this, several third-party sites like Spigen have put up iPhone 16e MagFit MagSafe supporting cases for sale.
The iPhone 16e has the following features:
- 128, 256, 512 GB Capacity
- Super Retina XDR Display, 6.1-inch all-screen OLED Display, 2532 by 1170 pixel resolution at 460 ppi, HDR, True Tone, Wide color (P3), and Haptic Touch
