Faith and Will are involved in John Doe’s investigation, whose corpse was found underneath a burned building. Then, Marion visits the morgue to determine the body, which she is unable to do due to its bad condition. Despite discovering the mysterious identity and the killer, Will stays intrigued by the case as it is related to Grove Park Boys’ gang territory.
Soon enough, Will appears in front of Marion, and they have a great conversation about their shared Puerto Rican heritage. Meanwhile, despite Amanda’s warnings, Will also tries to dig deeper into the case at hand. He reveals his findings to Marion, and they decide to look at the criminal loan shark scheme, further solidifying their partnership.
When Marion approaches Will and embraces his face, things get heated up. Apologizing for crossing their professional boundaries, she says, “Sometimes, I forget that we just met.” Will also gets involved in the moment and invites her for dinner.
After dinner, they wash dishes until things get more romantic between them. As Marion attempts to keep her hand on Will’s face, offering to read his palm, he goes with the flow. Soon, they share a passionate kiss at the sink, followed by some more before Marion insists on leaving.
