Serena Williams was one of the guest stars of Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at the 2025 Super Bowl. Interestingly, Williams and her fellow guest stars SZA, bother were reportedly in romantic relationships with the Canadian hip-hop artist Drake, who has an infamous ongoing feud with Lamar. One of the songs that Lamar performed at the event was “Not Like Us,” a diss track he released during his feud with Drake. Further, Williams was seen dancing to the track.

“I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon,” Williams said in a video she shared on X (formerly Twitter). “I would’ve been fined. It was all love.”

Additionally, Lamar performed “Humble,” “DNA,” “Euphoria,” “man at the garden,” “peakboo,” “luther,” and “All the Stars.” SZA performed the last two tracks with Lamar as both are products of their collaborations.

Notably, Williams and Drake were seen together in 2015, leading to speculations that they were dating. In archival footage that made rounds on social media in August 2024, Drake can even be heard saying that his 2016 track “Too Good” was about Williams.

In late 2016, Williams became engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The couple tied the knot on November 16, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have two daughters together, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and Adira River Ohanian.

Super Bowl LIX ended with the Philadelphia Eagles securing a comfortable victory against the champions of the previous two years, the Kansas City Chiefs, with a score of 40–22.
