Kim Coles’ return to Days of Our Lives as Whitley King confirmed
Kim Coles recently opened up about returning to Days of Our Lives in an interview with TV Insider. “The people are awesome to work with and to be welcomed and given the tools so that I could succeed, I fell in love with the process and was praying that they would bring me back,” she said. “Then they brought me back for the Halloween episode [in 2023] and now I get to come back again.”
Now, Whitley’s return is anything but ordinary. Despite being confined to a mental health facility, she manages to stir up drama on the Body & Soul set. Her methods? Poisoned cupcakes and carefully orchestrated accidents.
Coles shared her enthusiasm for the storyline, saying, “That this rich thing that was happening behind the scenes was set up for me to come in and cause mayhem again was quite a delight.”
Many must be wondering, how did she pull off such schemes while locked away. The same thoughts ran through Kim Cole’s mind. “I did ask, ‘Now how did she do this? She’s locked away.’ And they just said, ‘Stop asking questions [Laughs].’” The writers assured her the plot makes sense, and Coles appreciates the cleverness of her character. “She’s actually brilliant, and I like that we’ve given her that element,” the actress added.
Days of Our Lives is one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world, airing since November 8, 1965. Set in the fictional town of Salem, the show revolves around the lives of the Brady, Horton, and DiMera families, blending romance, mystery, and drama.
