Trevor Noah comments on Taylor Swift’s fanbase

During the 2025 Grammys, Trevor Noah’s playful remarks about Taylor Swift stole the spotlight. The 14-time Grammy winner was nominated for six awards, including the Album of the Year. Noah took the opportunity to address the possibility of Swift making history yet again by winning the award for a fifth time, something no artist had ever accomplished.

As Swift smiled in the audience, Noah acknowledged her success, humorously referring to her Grammy-winning moment in 2024 when she announced her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department. He joked, “That was like Grammy Inception.” But he didn’t stop there. Noah teased Swift about breaking her own record, pointing out that winning her fifth Album of the Year would surpass her own achievement from the previous year. The comedian said, “Plus, if Taylor wins, she could become the first artist ever to win Album of the Year five times. Which means she would break the record of four wins, set in 2024 by… Taylor Swift.”  (via Variety)

But it wasn’t just about breaking records. Noah also issued a playful warning, saying, “If you break Taylor’s record, you know the Swifties are going to come for you. You don’t want to mess with them. They are like an army of Kendrick Lamars.” His comments had the crowd laughing and Swift smiling at her table.
