Justin Baldoni’s leaked voice note to Blake Lively explained

The tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during the production of It Ends With Us continues to capture public attention. The latest development involves a leaked voice note from Baldoni, in which he apologized to Lively after a disagreement over the film’s rooftop scene.

The nearly seven-minute message, obtained by Daily Mail, reveals Baldoni acknowledging his missteps and emphasizing his commitment to improving their working relationship.

Sent at around 2 a.m., Baldoni admitted in the voice note, “I’m really sorry. I f—ed up. I will admit and apologize when I fail. I’m a very flawed man, as my wife will attest.” The message followed a tense meeting over the scene, during which Lively was supported by her husband Ryan Reynolds and best friend Taylor Swift, who spoke on her behalf. Baldoni referenced their involvement in the note and said, “The three of you guys together is unbelievable. Talk about energy. Force. All three of you.”

The message also highlighted Baldoni’s efforts to improve their collaboration, as he noted their interactions had been primarily through text and voicemail. “You and I have been trying to build a relationship which I think we’ve done successfully. But largely via text and voicemail and I will admit, that’s not my biggest strength,” Baldoni stated. He further expressed optimism about strengthening their working chemistry.

This exchange comes amid a legal battle between the co-stars. Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, while Baldoni has countersued for defamation, alleging that Lively and Reynolds used their influence to harm his career.
