Further, he revealed the reason behind his departure in an interview with Daily Drama Podcast. He stated, ”A lot of stuff’s been going on in my life. There’s a few things behind it but one thing I did say is, my dad passed away and I’m still coming to terms with that.”
The recent episodes showcased Duell’s character Michael suffering from third-degree burns after getting caught in a fire blast at Sonny’s penthouse. He started undergoing treatment for his burns in Port Charles facing numerous problems. Things took a terrifying turn with the ruthless Cyrus Renault sneaking into his room and adding an overdose of digitalis in his IV bags. As a result, Michael suffered a heart attack but Isaiah managed to save his life.
Further, Carly decided to send him to a specialized clinic in Germany. Michael’s estranged wife Willow also started creating trouble by preventing Sonny and Carly from meeting Michael. She demanded the return of the kids but the couple were unsuccessful. However, Willow eventually allowed them and soon Michael was shifted to Germany for further treatment.
