The Night Agent Season 2 has finally premiered on Netflix. The second season’s finale brought a resolution to the main storyline and sowed the seeds for what fans can expect in the upcoming Season 3. The next season will likely follow Peter’s exploration of the new assignment he received at the end of Season 2. Accordingly, fans have been wondering what Peter’s next assignment is.

Here is Peter’s next assignment in The Night Agent Season 3, explored. Beware of spoilers for Season 2.

What is Peter’s next assignment in The Night Agent Season 3?

Peter’s next mission in The Night Agent Season 3 will see him spy on intelligence broker Jacob Monroe and gain his trust. This would allow him to learn more about Monroe’s close relationship with Governor Hagen, after which he can expose both of them. It is revealed at the end of Season 2 that Jacob wishes to amass higher government power by installing Hagen as President.

Peter is given this mission by his handler, Catherine, following his arrest for all the crimes he committed against the FBI during the season. These include stealing confidential, sensitive information from the UN and handing it over to Jacob. This mission is incredibly top secret, as even other Night Agents are unaware of it.

Peter is promised a clean record by Catherine if he manages to complete the mission successfully.

Here, he disclosed that the third season would have the “strongest opening” of all the seasons. He added that fans can expect to see some unbelievable stunt scenes.

The Night Agent Season 2 is currently streaming on Netflix. Besides Gabriel Basso, the show stars Lucianne Buchanan, Fola-Evans Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano, D.B. Woodside, and Hong Chau.
