Sharelle Rosado garnered widespread popularity as a cast member of the Netflix reality series Selling Tampa. She is now back as a star of another Netflix reality show, W.A.G.s to Riches, which premiered on January 22, 2025. Rosado’s ex-fiancé is Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, a former NFL wide receiver. However, speculations have been circulating that Rosado and Johnson’s relationship was perhaps a PR stunt. In a new interview, Rosado spoke on this, dismissing the claims.

Rosado first contacted Johnson on Instagram Direct Messenger. Although she stopped messaging him at one point, they resumed their interactions in 2020. The couple publicly announced their relationship in November of that year. They welcomed their daughter, Serenity, in January 2022. Rosado and Johnson got engaged in January 2023 but called off their engagement in October 2024.
Addressing the allegations that her relationship with Johnson was a PR stunt, Rosado told the New York Post, “If it was just PR then we wouldn’t have a child together, I mean, make it make sense.” She continued, “I think some people just speculate and assume or, you know, wish their situations were different and wish they had their situation the same as ours at times. But people are going to speculate.”
Rosado added, “At the end of the day, we know what we have, we know what we created. If we’re together or not, we’re going to support each other.”
Sharelle Rosado is a military veteran, who served in the U.S. Army for 13 years. She was a paratrooper and sought a career in PR. After doing two tours to Afghanistan, Rosado opted for medical retirement.
Rosado is also a successful real estate broker and the founder and CEO of the Tampa-based real estate brokerage firm Allure Realty. In 2021, she told Glamour UK that she pitched Selling Tampa through Instagram DM.
