Michael Corinthos – Chad Duell
Chad Duell, who had been playing Michael Corinthos since 2010, after taking over the role from Drew Garrett, confirmed his departure from the series in November 2024. Confirming it via an Instagram post, he admitted that walking away from the series was a tough decision for him.
He signed off the post by writing, “This isn’t a goodbye—it’s a see you later.”
Chad Duell later elaborated on his departure in an appearance on The Daily Drama podcast. He cited wishing to spend time with his family and taking care of his mental health as reasons for his exit.
James Patrick Stuart – Valentin Cassadine
James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin Cassadine, who has been a staple of the series since 2016, temporarily exited it on January 3, 2025. The character had earlier returned to the show on December 27, 2024, following a July 2024 exit that saw him and Charlotte go on the run from the FBI. Valentin’s exit occurred at the same time as his daughter Charlotte’s. However, this is not the first time Cassadine has exited the series. He has had multiple breaks between 2016 and 2024.
Scarlett Fernandez – Charlotte Cassadine
Scarlett Fernandez, the actress behind Charlotte Cassadine, departed the series temporarily on January 3, 2025. Recently, Lulu Spencer was shown traveling to Prague to find and get Charlotte back, but to no avail. This is not Fernandez’s first exit from the series as she has had multiple temporary exits since 2016. Her exits between 2021 and 2023 also led to temporary recastings as well.
