The spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful attribute Liam’s possible death at Luna’s hands to his increased suspicion and curiosity about his father Bill Spencer Jr.’s behavior. Bill has been unusually homebound ever since Luna was offered shelter there. Unaware of Luna’s secret presence in the house, Liam will be seen pleading with Bill to reveal the truth about his unusual isolation.
Thus, Luna would be prompted to kill or try to kill Liam. She would do this out of fear of possibly losing the life with Bill she has been obsessively craving.
This wouldn’t be surprising as Luna has proven to be a remorseless and selfish psychopath who has killed and shown a willingness to kill or harm people who could potentially obstruct her tendency to have her way in life. She had killed Tom Starr, after he had claimed to be her father, despite Poppy Nozawa’s adamant belief that he wasn’t. Furthermore, she also had Hollis murdered just as he deduced the identity of Tom’s killer.
Additionally, she also drugged and trapped Steffy Forrester in a cage inside a building that would be demolished. This was when the latter confronted Luna and deduced that she killed Tom and Hollis while framing her mother Poppy for the acts.
