Tammy Duckworth and Bryan Bowlsbey first crossed paths during their time at George Washington University as ROTC cadets. However, the two had a rocky start with Duckworth not liking his behavior. She opened up on their meeting with C-PAN stating, ”He made a comment that I felt was derogatory about the role of women in the Army, but he came over and apologized very nicely and then helped me clean my M16.” (via Mother Jones)
