Scooter Braun, who has managed Justin Bieber since 2008, has deactivated his Instagram account, drawing significant attention to their professional relationship. This move follows Justin Bieber’s unfollowing him on social media. Since then, several reports have surfaced, revealing the rocky nature of their relationship over the years and suggesting that this may have contributed to Braun’s decision to leave social media.
Here are details on Braun and Bieber’s alleged drama.
Here’s why Scooter Braun deactivated his Instagram
According to Billboard, professional ties between Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber have been strained for the past few years. Braun had been Bieber’s manager since the early stages of his career. He discovered Bieber on YouTube in 2008, and from that point on, they developed a strong professional bond. However, in the last couple of years, their relationship reportedly deteriorated, leading Bieber to exit their contract and seek new management.
He was still under contract with Braun in 2023, after his retirement, following a series of amendments to their deal made in 2020. Nonetheless, rumors about tension between the duo arose, when Bieber reportedly unfollowed him on Instagram. However, none of the parties have come out publicly to address these brewing speculations.
Last year, Braun had undertaken a new role as the CEO of HYBE America, leaving behind his management career. He also shared a lengthy statement highlighting his managerial role and the longtime clients under him, including Bieber and Ariana Grande.
He said, “Justin and Ariana were both young teenagers when I began with them. Justin a 13 year old kid busking in Canada and Ariana a young actress on Nickelodeon. To see them both come up to be the legends they are today will forever be one of my greatest honors. As we change our working relationships now, I will continue to root for them with the same passion that I did at each of their humble beginnings.”
Many also speculated that his sudden disappearance from social media might be due to his latest transition in career and might have nothing to do with Bieber.
