Dora Moono Nyambe reportedly passed away in the early hours of December 25, 2024. She was 32 years old at the time of her death.

A local outlet called Kalemba News seemingly shed some light on what happened to the TikTok celebrity. They quoted Mubanga Gravies, who is a teacher at Nyambe’s Mkushi district-based school Footprints Hope, to report that the humanitarian spent time with her team and many of the children until 11 PM on the night before her death.

“At that point, she never complained of being sick or feeling ill,” Gravies elaborated. “She only woke up around 02:00 hours in the morning of yesterday and drove herself to the nearby clinic which is about 15 kilometers away from the school, after having passed out on different occasions.”

Gravies continued, “We were only informed by the clinic that she had died around 04:00 hours, stating that she had low Blood Pressure.” According to him, Nyambe was “the best boss that the school staff could ever have.”

Dora Moono Nyambe was the daughter of a Zambian father and a South African mother. Born on June 23, 1992, she spent a considerable portion of her childhood in Chibombo, Lusaka, Zambia. Nyambe was a lifelong educator and noticed the terrible state of schools and education in Mapapa, Mkushi, during a visit in 2019. She eventually relocated to Mapapa, where she established Footprints of Hope Mapapa and Footprints Hope.

The philanthropist worked extensively with disenfranchised and vulnerable children. Nyambe helped them with education, teen pregnancies, and access to food, clothing, and housing. She didn’t have any biological children but adopted 13 young individuals.

Nyambe was laid to rest at her school on December 29.
