Nikki Glaser is gearing up to make history as the solo host of the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, but she had to rearrange her plastic surgery plans to take on the role. The comedian had initially planned to undergo a brow lift during the same week as the awards ceremony. She explained:
“So, for January 2025, I was going to possibly have, like, a brow lift or some kind of, like, really invasive surgery that I’ve been, you know, looking into getting” (via CBS News).
However, after receiving a call from two of her agents about the hosting gig, Glaser quickly changed her plans. In an interview with CBS, she revealed that the agents’ call indicated a significant opportunity and that she was asked if she could push her surgery to the second week of January. Without hesitation, she agreed to postpone the procedure and take on the exciting role as host.
Now, with just days to go, Glaser is feeling ready and confident. Though she acknowledged the tough crowd she’ll face, the comedian remains assured in her preparation. She said:
“I’m gonna nail it. Maybe I won’t nail it in some people’s eyes, but I will have nailed it in my eyes because I have set up a system leading up to it that I couldn’t possibly work harder on it.”
As the 2025 Golden Globe Awards approach, Glaser is excited about the opportunity to host the ceremony, which will take place on January 5, 2025. The show will honor achievements in film and television.
