Oscar Pistorius & Rita Greyling Relationship Explained

Oscar Pistorius has found love after being released from prison, with sources revealing the identity of his new girlfriend as Rita Greyling. The former professional sprinter and Paralympian fell from grace when he was convicted of killing his then-girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his home in Pretoria in 2013. He had served 8 years in prison and was released on parole on January 5, 2024. The internet is now abuzz with the relationship with Oscar Pistorius’ alleged new girlfriend.

Here’s everything we know about Rita Greyling and her relationship with the convicted South African athlete.

Are Oscar Pistorius and Rita Greyling dating?

According to South African newspaper Netwerk24 via LBC, Rita Greyling is a 33-year-old long-term family friend of Oscar Pistorius. Per the report, she works as a business management consultant from Wakkerstroom in Mpumalanga. Over the years, she has developed a successful career in the field.

Reliable sources close to Greyling and Pistorius have confirmed that the two are in a relationship. However, they have decided to keep things private and refuse to reveal details of their private affairs. Another source close to Pistorius stated, “He is trying to rebuild his life in a low-key way and avoids bars and restaurants and the general public and is flying under the radar. He is slowly trying to reintegrate into society, but that is being done through families that his family have been close to for decades and is slowly slowly.”

Following his recent release from prison, Pistorius maintains a low profile and reportedly works at a Dutch Reform Church. He is currently still on parole and can receive drug and alcohol checks from the Department of Corrections. Furthermore, Pistorius is not permitted to contact Reeva Steenkamp’s family.

Although the couple looks to a hopeful future, June Steenkamp, mother of murdered Reeva Stankeep, gives a chill warning.

“He was angry — and he still has a problem with anger,” Steenkamp told the Sun. “I don’t understand how she doesn’t see a red flag about him because he has not lost his temper problem.”

Pistorius’ sentence ends in 2029.
