Dune: Prophecy has dropped its fourth episode. It showcased numerous interesting turns from Tula’s attempt to revive Lila to the mystery around Desmond Hart’s bleeding scars. However, the most intriguing aspect was linked with the character of Theodosia played by Jade Anouka. Many are speculating that she might be a shapeshifting Face dancer. So, is Theodosia a Face Dancer in Dune: Prophecy?
Let’s delve deep into the thrilling character in the science-fiction series.
How does Theodosia shapeshift in Dune: Prophecy Episode 4?
Theodosia can likely be a face dancer in Dune: Prophecy.
The ending of episode 4 showcases Sister Valya Harkonnen sharing a heartfelt moment with her deceased brother Griffin Harkonnen who was killed by Vorian. She emotionally stares at his painting and begins talking to him. Griffin tells him that he understands what she went through while returning to Harkonnens. He further promises to help her and vanishes. However, a shocking twist takes place when he begins to transform. The camera shows him as Theodosia indicating that she was a shapeshifter, all this while, aka Tleilaxu Face Dancer.
For the unaware, in the original books, Face Dancers were created by a secret religious group known as Bene Tleilax. They were also responsible for creating human clones from dead tissues called Ghola which might be Desmond Hart’s real identity. Face Dancers are sterile genetically engineered humans created through Axlotl tanks by the group. They can easily transform it into personality and prove to be useful across the Imperium.
Additionally, Anouka threw light on her character and how its shocking twist made her excited for the show. She stated to Decider, ”Actually, it was one of the main reasons I was so excited to be part of this show, When [showrunner] Alison [Schapker] sort of like dropped that bombshell about what my character would be in the later episodes, what she would reveal about her, I was like, ‘Ohhhhhh!!!”
Further, Theodosia as a Face Dancer can turn out to be one of the biggest assets for Sisterhood. It will be interesting to see how Valya and Tulya use the shapeshifter to increase their powers and defeat the enemies of Sisterhood.
