Why Emperor Corrino allows Desmond to kill nobles in Dune: Prophecy Episode 4
Desmond Hart is made to kill the nobles as they are accused of using the forbidden technology. These brutal act further displays the efforts of Emperor Javicco Corrino to maintain power and as a lesson for everyone to play by the rules and not rebel against them.
To kill the nobles, Desmond Hart uses his abilities but he gets severely injured. The scars on his back began bleeding and he later went in his room to heal it. He bleeds likely because he overutilizes his abilities and also seems to have a connection to the things that transpired inside the sandworm.
