Was Sam killed by Cyrus in General Hospital?
At the time of writing, it is unknown if Cyrus was the one who killed Sam. In fact, the lead characters are yet to uncover if there is a culprit behind Sam’s passing at all.
Following an extensive autopsy, the cause of Sam’s death was revealed to be an overdose of Digitalis, a heart medication. As such, Cyrus, Lulu’s uncle, has come under suspicion for supposedly killing Sam. The ex-convict recently graced Lulu’s bedside with his presence, unaware of the fact that she has regained consciousness. He then addressed Lulu with an eerie tone, reaffirming that he would “take care of” his niece.
Considering Cyrus’ history with Lulu and his twisted interpretation of faith, it is extremely probable that he could’ve tried to murder Lulu as an act of mercy. In order to achieve his nefarious motives, the God-fearing devil might have intended to give the dosage of Digitalis to Lulu. However, Cyrus could’ve mistakenly injected the medication into Sam, ultimately killing her.
Another theory suggested by General Hospital spoilers seems to legitimize Cyrus’ actions instead. He could’ve drugged Sam on purpose to take her life before she could donate her liver to Lulu. This way, Cyrus would’ve accomplished his goal of eliminating Lulu and avoided suspicion at the same time.
While Cyrus’ shady history can easily corroborate such speculations, he remains innocent on the show at the moment. More details regarding Sam’s mysterious death are expected to follow in the upcoming General Hospital episodes.
