Chris Martin fell off the stage in Melbourne

The singer recently worried the crowd present at his concert in Melbourne, after he fell through a trapdoor while moving on stage on Sunday, November 3.

The clip was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Greg Briggs and has since garnered immense attention among netizens. In the video, Chris Martin was backing up on stage while having a chat with the crowd, when he suddenly stumbled and fell into the trap door.

Although it looked like a dangerous fall, the Coldplay frontman overcame it without sustaining any injuries. He was promptly rescued by a crew member who was standing in the gap. As soon as Martin fell, the crowd erupted in unison wondering if he was okay. After recovering from the fall, the singer took to the mic and said, “That’s uh, not planned. Thank you for catching me, so much. Thank you, guys. Holy s**t, that was nearly a YouTube moment.”

As of now, Chris Martin has not addressed the fall in any comments. Following their show in Melbourne, Coldplay is set to travel to Sydney for their next set of shows. The Music of the Spheres tour will conclude with the band performing at the iconic Wembley Stadium next year.

According to CNN, the band’s Melbourne leg of the tour was hit with another mishap on the first day. Unfortunately, Guy Berryman, their bassist, was unable to join them on stage for the concert.
