Here’s How To Get IOS 18.1 With Artificial Intelligence On Your iPhone

Apple just released the iOS 18.1 update on iPhones. This includes the first public version of artificial intelligence for iPhone 15 Pro and 16 users. Accordingly, iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max, and 16 users are wondering how they can install this new update which includes Apple’s artificial intelligence on their devices.

Here is the process to install iOS 18.1 on iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max, and any 16 models outlined.

How to get iOS 18.1 on your iPhone

To install iOS 18.1, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Go to ‘Settings‘.
  2. Click on ‘General’.
  3. Click on ‘Software Update’.
  4. You will now be redirected to a screen that gives you the option to install iOS 18.1.

Then to access Apple Intelligence, you must sign up for the Apple Intelligence waitlist, you must be an iPhone 15, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max or 16 user to do this:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’.
  2. Click on ‘Apple Intelligence’ and ‘Siri’.
  3. Choose ‘Join the Apple Waitlist’.

After joining the waitlist, users’ phones will then begin downloading large files consisting of Apple’s AI models which will help in the operation of Apple Intelligence.

Apple Intelligence is not available for users using the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models and older models. This is because the service heavily uses the iPhone’s chip.

Apple Intelligence brings in a host of new features for iPhone users. A prominent one is summarizing notifications. Instead of a stack of notifications showing up together and staying as it is, as was the case in previous software, the entire stack can be summarized into just one single notification.

Another important feature is the Photos app now having the capacity to understand natural language. Users can also make a short movie out of their iPhone gallery.

Yet another major feature of Apple Intelligence is the Notes and Phone apps now allow users to capture audio recordings and transcripts. All users need to do is hit the “record” button, which will then generate summaries of the transcript and make it easier to find crucial information from them.
