According to the latest reports, Liam Payne’s funeral will take place in November.

As per The Mirror UK, this is because the singer’s body is set to remain in Buenos Aires for 10 to 15 days. This is until the results of the toxicological tests arrive. Payne passed away on October 16, 2024. The autopsy by forensic experts at the Judicial Morgue in Buenos Aires concluded that he succumbed to the internal and external injuries he sustained during the fall.

This tragic loss has left Payne’s family and friends distraught. His former One Direction bandmates have also been reminiscing their memories with him on social media. The Mirror further states that Payne’s body will arrive later in his hometown, Wolverhampton, UK. His father Geoff Payne is currently in Argentina. He was recently seen visiting his son’s memorial near the hotel and also greeted numerous fans.

Regarding Liam Payne’s funeral, a source close to the family said, “Liam’s loved ones just want him home, back where he belongs among his family. As they await the pathologist to finish their tests, behind the scenes, they have been tackling the logistics about how best to get his body back to the UK.” (via The Mirror UK)

The source further claimed that the family is trying to have “the least stops and interruptions possible” on the flight that will bring Payne’s body home. They added, “Geoff is determined to accompany his son home.”
