So you’re telling me that five days after performing with Taylor Swift that Avril Lavigne split from her husband of two years? Ok, I’m sure it’s nothing.
Avril Lavigne released a statement on Instagram about two hours ago, but before we get into that, remember when Chad Kroeger gave her a 17 CARAT ENGAGEMENT RING? Money well spent, obviously. Oh, here’s the statement:
It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.
Shit. That damn hand is heavy. There’s no real details about why they split, so either it took two years for Avril to realize she was dating a person who is in the band Nickelback or Taylor’s publicist called her and informed her that a spot opened up in the squad for a woman with Lyme disease. The spot will be held until Lena Dunham manages to lose 40 pounds.
