Yes ladies and gentlemen, Hooters actually holds a beauty pageant. And they’ve done it for 21 years.
Not only do Hooters have lovely ladies in orange shorts serving you mediocre wings, but they actually have a beauty pageant to determine who might possibly be the brand’s new face. Around 80 curvy gals from Hooters restaurants across the country showed up to Las Vegas recently to see who would be crowned Miss Hooters International 2017. And once it was cut down to ten girls a winner was chosen…
Her name? Chelsea Morgensen.
That’s right, folks, the California gal walked away with the crown this year as well as $30,000 and the chance to be the face of the brand. Contestants were evaluated based on their personality, their responses to interview questions and their overall contribution to the Hooters brand. And of course, how good they looked in a bikini. But when it was all said and done it was Morgensen who won it all.
